TRANSFER BOX & GEARBOX INSPECTION

One of the questions we're regularly asked about Porsche Macans concerns the transfer box. It's a recognised area of concern on some earlier models, and something we're fully aware of when inspecting these vehicles.

We have specifically checked the transfer box operation as part of our multipoint vehicle inspection. During our assessment, there were no abnormal noises, grabbing or juddering symptoms associated with the transfer box.

We've also paid particular attention to the operation of the PDK gearbox. The gearbox operates extremely smoothly, with the vehicle pulling strongly and cleanly through every gear. Gear changes are smooth, and the engine delivers its power exactly as we'd expect from the 3.0 V6.
