There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes at Culloden Cars, and Kate is right in the middle of making sure it all runs as it should.

Finance, admin, systems, processes... if it needs to be organised, checked or made more efficient, there’s a good chance it has passed through Kate. Or, as she’ll probably tell you, she has a spreadsheet for it.

Her role is all about keeping things moving properly behind the scenes, so the sales team can concentrate on looking after customers.

But Kate is no stranger to the motor trade.

After starting out in accounts, she joined a large Inverness dealership and spent nine years working within the industry. She briefly tried something completely different, but it didn’t take long to realise she missed the pace, the people and the hustle and bustle of dealership life.

So, when a role came up at Culloden Cars, she didn’t hang about.

Having worked within a large national business, the chance to become a bigger part of an independent dealership really appealed to her. She already knew Culloden Cars by reputation, had watched Dealership Diaries, and liked the ambition behind the business and the close-knit team feel.

There’s another nice connection too. Kate’s dad worked at Macrae & Dick many years ago, where he worked alongside Liz, the very person Kate would eventually take over from at Culloden Cars.

Small world.

And while she might be the one keeping the spreadsheets in order, she’s definitely not all serious. Expect Jurassic Park references, Xbox sessions, singing along to the radio and, if you ask nicely, she might even show you the Halo energy sword tattoo on her arm.
