Craig Walker
Director
Craig is the driving force behind The Walker Motor Group which owns Culloden Cars, but more than that, he is the one who has set the standards, the tone and the way things are done day to day.
Originally from Nairn, he has been in the motor trade since he was 19, and not in one neat lane either. Over the years, he’s worked across sales, finance, and business ownership, seeing the industry from all angles: the good, the bad parts, and the everything in between.
And that experience didn’t just build knowledge, it shaped how he thinks.
Because once you’ve seen where things go wrong, you start to recognise the patterns. The cars that get bought too quickly. The corners that get cut in prep. The conversations that are made harder than they need to be. Small decisions at the time, but ones that tend to come back around later.
But Culloden Cars is Craig’s answer to that.
He’s not interested in chasing volume for the sake of it. He’d rather buy the right car than the easy one, and he puts real weight on preparation and provenance, because he knows that’s what prevents problems later. And by keeping vehicle prep and aftercare closely linked through Top Car Services, he’s made sure quality stays under control and customers have somewhere familiar to come back to long after the sale.
And if that’s not enough, when it comes to dealing with customers, with Craig there’s no scripts, no pressure, and no overcomplicating things. Just clear conversations, being upfront when something needs said, and giving customers the space to make their own decisions. Because in his view, if the car’s right and the process is clear, you don’t need to force anything.
It’s also why we now have Culloden TV and the Dealership Diaries.
Because rather than polishing everything up, Craig made the call to show the business as it actually is. The buying, the prep, the handovers, the problem-solving, and the occasional things that don’t quite go to plan. Not because it’s perfect, but because it’s real. And when people can see how you work, trust tends to follow without needing to be pushed.
And that’s what everything comes back to for him.
